Join a dedicated healthcare team in a regional medical practice serving the Midwest. This Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education within a family medicine setting. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling.
• Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed.
• Assist providers during procedures, maintain sterile fields, and manage instrument trays.
• Support examinations within the scope of licensure.
• Conduct phone triage and act as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Communicate test results and assist with follow-up calls.
• Document patient complaints and visit details accurately.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs and measurements.
• Update medication lists and summaries as directed.
• Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens.
• Educate patients on electronic health record portals and provide supportive teaching.
• Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including obtaining necessary authorizations.
• Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols.

Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program with completion of an approved IV therapy course.

Experience: Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certification/License: Current LPN license valid in the state of practice. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Requires significant mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, walking, standing, and various movements such as stooping and reaching.

Working Conditions: Exposure to infectious diseases and occasional challenging interactions with patients. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
