Bread Baker

WINNER is a Brooklyn-based hospitality group featuring a lively American café, cozy wine bar, a butcher shop, and a Prospect Park kiosk. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to-go with a focus on fresh, high-quality food and genuine hospitality. As a Bread Baker at WINNER, you’ll help produce exceptional breads for our locations and wholesale clients. Working closely with the bakery team, you’ll prepare, bake, and maintain consistent quality across all products while supporting a clean, organized, and efficient production environment.

Compensation
Winner is currently hiring for Baker 1 and Baker 2 positions. The range for a Baker 1 is $21 - $23 per hour. The pay range for a Baker 2 is $23 - $25 per hour. 

• Weekend availability is required
• Ability to work early mornings (4 am start), weekends, and holidays as part of a bakery production schedule

• Mix, shape, and bake a variety of breads according to WINNER recipes and standards
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in measurements, fermentation, and bake times
• Monitor product quality throughout production and address issues promptly

• Maintain a clean, organized baking area in compliance with sanitation standards
• Assist with ingredient tracking, restocking, and proper rotation to minimize waste

• Collaborate with fellow bakers and kitchen teams to meet daily production goals
• Communicate clearly with the Bread Department Manager regarding production needs, challenges, or equipment issues
• Participate in meetings and trainings to support continuous improvement

• Follow all health, safety, and food-handling regulations
• Operate bakery equipment safely and report malfunctions immediately

• Stay current on baking techniques and industry trends
• Contribute ideas to improve recipes, workflows, and overall efficiency

• Previous experience as a bread baker or in a similar production baking role
• Strong understanding of bread-making techniques and processes
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, organized, and able to meet production deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
