Sr. MI Systems Engineer

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Sr. MI Systems Engineer.The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Primary Function: The Senior Manufacturing Information (MI) Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining product line engineering and manufacturing systems and recommending/implementing corrective actions to drive quality improvement. This includes defining requirements, acceptance testing, scheduling of training and rollout, documenting specific plant processes, and first level support of issues. This position is expected to have or demonstrate the ability to gain working knowledge of configuration requirements and the associated systems and processes in the division, including Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, POM, ENOVIA, MAPICS, AutoCAD and other site-specific tools.Relocation assistance is offered for this position to qualified candidates to an approved work location. Approved work locations include the following PDCA facilities: (1) Arden, NC or (2) Greenwood, SCWhat you'll do: A. Deploying and supporting Front End Engineering systems for the assigned product line.B. Support the development of product line specific training documentation on their use of the engineering software tools and processes.C. Manage MI System issues tickets through individual contribution and coordination of other Eaton resources.D. Lead the maintenance and improvement of systems (Bid Manager, Mi Manager, POM, etc.) to meet the needs of all stakeholders, inclusive of product line personnel, plant personnel, PMO and NAS.E. Providing a focal point for the manufacturing plants to address issues relating to front end operating systems and related practices. F. Gather requests for system enhancements and communicate those to the appropriate development manager.G. Be available for after-hours and weekend support.H. Participate in product line meetings on Front End Systems projects and continuous improvement activities, driving best practices and knowledge sharing across the various teams (engineering, design and systems)I. Maintain Front End Systems turnback/enhancement database (SharePoint tickets) and related Change Management processes, coordinating priorities with various stakeholders and team members.J. Support defect resolution for ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets through error recreation and documentation through interactions with product line engineering teams, systems developers and IT developers.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or Information Technology field from an accredited institution• Three (3) years of applicable experience with engineered-to-order (ETO) products and their associated configuration tools. • Authorized to work in the US without Company Sponsorship now or within the future• Travel – up to 10%Preferred Qualifications: • Preference will be given toward candidates with extensive experience in Eaton’s ETO software tools including, but not limited to: Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, Plant Order Manager, Pick Work Bench, etc. Skills:• Good interpersonal and communication skills.• Proficient use of Eaton’s ETO software systems and AutoCAD.• Apply object oriented programming language such as VB.Net • Management and development of databases.Additional Information:• The incumbent is guided by policies and objectives passed on by management. • This position is responsible for support of front end systems for the PDCA division within the general direction of management.• The incumbent must have broad vision and be creative in problem solving approach.• Must be able to form beneficial alliances with peers and superiors in order to achieve the objectives of the department.• The incumbent must be controlled under pressure and requires the ability to think logically.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
