Environmental Planner

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly Reports To: Regional Manager Job Type: Full-Time, Regular Compensation: $35 - $52/hr depending on experience Location: Nationwide (Continental U.S.) Job Summary The Planner position will provide environmental planning expertise to lead or assist in obtaining local, state and/or federal permits for projects related to energy, telecommunications, water, or mining industries. Job Requirements B.S. degree in environmental planning and/or a closely related discipline Minimum 5 years of experience working with or for federal, state, or local agencies Strong knowledge of NEPA Strong writing and analysis skills with the ability to provide examples Ability to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlines Highly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy Ability to interact and coordinate with state, federal, local, and tribal agencies Willingness and ability to participate in business and client relationship development as needed Detailed task tracking and note‑taking ability Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors Preferred Experience M.S. degree in environmental planning and/or a closely related discipline Experience with Routing and Siting Studies Experience working with or for federal, state, or local agencies is a plus Strong writing and editing skills Organizing and facilitating coordination meetings, both in person and virtual, for multi‑disciplinary teams across a variety of internal and external parties Public outreach and engagement Familiarity with typical utility operations and maintenance activities Familiarity with Salesforce and ESRI GIS applications (including desktop, ArcGIS, Collector, Survey123, etc.) Excellent navigation skills and good driving record Experience driving a four‑wheel drive vehicle off‑road or in rough terrain Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr
