About the Company B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group is a leading hospitality provider operating more than 20 business class hotels across the Washington, D.C. area. Position Overview Director of Operations – Full Service Courtyard by Marriott Tysons Corner Oversee overall management and operation of the hotel, driving revenue, maximizing profit, and ensuring quality service and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Personally Delivers Exceptional Guest Service: Accountable for maintaining high service and quality standards, conducting Quality Assurance Inspections, responding to guest feedback, and ensuring all inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly. Sales: Actively participate in sales efforts, analyze and negotiate business, determine pricing and yield strategies, attend calls and site visits, and collaborate with the Revenue Manager to implement revenue-generating strategies. Maximizes Guest Satisfaction Scores: Identify obstacles to exemplary service, use tools to improve scores, communicate survey results, and address trends to maintain ratings within acceptable brand ranges. Financial Responsibility: Manage expenses within budget, review payroll and labor, use procurement systems, prepare and forecast the hotel budget, communicate financial forecasts, and ensure accounting procedures are followed. Training and Development: Lead ongoing training, maintain records, assess current programs, implement brand training initiatives, and ensure all requirements are met. People Management: Interview, hire, coach, and develop staff and management, address performance issues, motivate staff via goal setting and recognition, and manage turnover rates. Self/Workload Management: Manage personal workload, guide the team, promote collaboration, and lead daily and monthly meetings. Safety/Risk Management: Participate in Safety Committee Meetings, conduct inspections, maintain a safe environment, handle incidents, complete incident reports, and support safety programs. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required. College degree or equivalent experience required. Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 3–5+ years of progressive Marriott hotel management experience. Ability to manage multiple hotel and corporate priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills with all organizational levels and problem‑solving ability.
