SanitationThe Sanitation is responsible for cleaning of the processing plant and equipment, while at the same time insuring that the eggs will be handled properly insuring quality.Essential Job Functions:Follow Hen Haven's program as it relates to handling product and packaging material to meet or exceed the customer requirements, such as, but not limited to:Responsible for cleanliness of entire processing department.Machines must be cleaned to the per company standardsAll facilities and rooms are to be cleanedAll waste and trash disposed of daily and properlyResponsible for cleanliness of shower areasAll showers are to be thoroughly cleaned and sanitizedAll towels, uniforms, and supplies are to be stocked.All facilities cleaned dailyComply with all USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, Safety Programs, Biosecurity Policies and Procedures and Food Defense Programs.Track product inventories: Cleaning supplies and ChemicalsSchedule regular cleaning of all facility surfaces including but not limited to ceilings, walls, and floors.Immediately report any mechanical problems or poor quality conditions to Supervisor or Maintenance staff where help is needed for repairsResolve as many immediately-correctable issues as possible in the course of his/her normal daily activitiesHelp others where neededValue your safety and the safety of your co-workersFollow all safety rules and conditionsReport all unsafe conditions to the plant supervisor immediatelyUnderstand how to safely operate the equipment in your areaAssist in creating a One-Team environment by communicating effectively with all plant supervision and staff.Perform all other tasks as requested by management.Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent preferredPrior egg grading machine experience an plus but not mandatoryReading and comprehensive skills necessary to follow instructions, and documentBilingual English/Spanish preferredMust be able to lift 50lbsMust be able to twist and bendMust be able to walk and stand for long periods of time on different surfaces, including concreteMust be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededMust be able to reach and lift above the headMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentJoin Hen Haven and become part of a winning team!
