Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Overview We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool, providing care across multiple units as needed. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and adaptability are essential. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including ICU, MS/Tele, PCU, overflow, and PACU units.
- Administer medications and monitor patient progress.
- Conduct EKG exams and demonstrate proficiency to pass assessments during orientation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure an optimal care experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an ICU setting.
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required.
- Travelers: First-time travelers are accepted if they have experience in a facility with 400 beds or larger.
- Specialized Skills: Experience with PA Line and Swan Ganz is required. Please do not apply if you lack this experience.
- Vaccination: Influenza vaccine is mandatory; no declinations are accepted.
- Shift: Night shift from 19:00 to 07:30.
- Available options for 36 or 48-hour work weeks.
- Weekend shifts and floating between units is required.
- No scheduling requests can be accommodated; up to 7 days maximum availability, with no time off during the first two weeks of the assignment.
- MUST work 3 out of 5 holidays.
