Health Information Management Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Management Technician to support medical records and document processing operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment .

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, scan, and index medical records and related documentation.
• Retrieve and process documents while ensuring records are placed in the correct sequential order.
• Perform quality reviews of scanned documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper indexing.
• Assist with account reconciliation and other clerical or technical duties related to health information management.
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic and paper records while following established procedures.
• Manage a high volume of documentation while meeting productivity and quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of office or administrative experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite , including Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to organize and sequence documents correctly.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment .

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in the healthcare industry .
• Familiarity with medical records or health information management software .
• Previous experience with document scanning, indexing, data entry, or records management.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Shift: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM EST, subject to confirmation.
• Lunch: 30 minutes.
• Breaks: Two 15-minute breaks per day.
• Overtime: May be available depending on workflow and business needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anderson, IN.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Anderson,IN.
