Medical Surgical Telemetry NurseThis position is for a Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse to work in a holding area within the emergency department. The role involves managing patients transitioning to the Medical Surgical and Telemetry floors, with a focus on stroke and telemetry care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide care to patients in a critical care and medically challenged environment.Perform EKG testing as required.Coordination and management of patient flow between departments.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical telemetry setting.Active Illinois nursing license.Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and BLS.Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system.Schedule DetailsShift: Eight-hour evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend.Orientation: 32 hours (16 hours non-billable).Additional InformationThe facility predominantly serves an elderly population and focuses heavily on cardiovascular care.
