Neurologist

Job Summary This is a full-time, on-site Neurologist role based in Honesdale, PA. The position focuses on non-surgical specialty care for patients with disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves, primarily in outpatient settings with shared responsibility for inpatient rounding and call. Position Overview Wayne Memorial Hospital, located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, is a non‑profit community hospital providing high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care. Recognized as a Certified Primary Stroke Center, the hospital also offers a state‑of‑the‑art Heart & Vascular Center with a cardiac catheterization laboratory. Responsibilities Expertise in the treatment of neurological conditions and evaluations, including diagnosis, treatment evaluations, and assessments. Order, interpret, and monitor EEGs, laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostic tests. Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical decision‑making, and developing treatment plans. Proficiency in medical documentation and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulatory standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Collaborate closely with primary care physicians and multidisciplinary team members, including nurses, medical assistants, and social workers, to coordinate patient care.
