About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations for a boutique memory care community in Eagan, MN. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on nursing leader who is passionate about resident care, staff development, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess an ownership mindset, thrive in a collaborative environment, and be committed to delivering exceptional care to memory care residents while ensuring regulatory compliance and survey readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical operations within the community
• Lead and maintain state survey readiness and regulatory compliance
• Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing and caregiving staff
• Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Participate in direct resident care, including ADLs, wound assessments, and care planning
• Collaborate with physicians, hospice providers, pharmacies, and other healthcare partners
• Manage staffing plans, scheduling, and clinical documentation
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and infection control programs
• Communicate with residents' families and participate in care conferences
• Support a positive culture focused on resident-centered care and team collaboration

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota RN license required
• Experience leading state surveys in Minnesota
• Previous leadership experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or senior housing
• Strong understanding of memory care and dementia-related services
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with operational leadership
