Product Engineer
Artech Information Systems LLC
Introduction We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead design engineering activities from pre-program through launch. This position will focus on developing upper body structures to meet vehicle performance requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 5 years of experience as a structures D&R Engineer
- Experience designing, developing, and releasing automotive sheet metal components
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Working knowledge of Catia V5/V6 and/or 3DX CAD
- Prior work experience with Ford body commodities or in the automotive industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Understanding of vehicle body structural performance requirements
- Experience with CAE correlation reviews and optimization strategies
- Knowledge of DMAIC and DFSS principles
- Experience with 8D, fishbone, and DOE problem-solving methodologies
- Lead Purchasing, Finance, and Cost Estimating in supplier selection to achieve program targets
- Develop component designs that meet customer and manufacturing requirements
- Interface with engineers of surrounding components and systems
- Release 3-D CAD that meets system design requirements
- Support supplier and CAE testing of structure and closure designs
- Manage Final Engineering Sign-off and production vehicle launch
