Operations Controller

Operations Manager – Sterling Heights, MI Full-time position responsible for driving continuous improvement in production performance, customer satisfaction, and overall operational excellence at a manufacturing plant. Responsibilities Lead the operations function, providing direct leadership to all Operations staff and ensuring manufacturing processes run efficiently within budget and schedule. Develop and execute departmental training, annual performance reviews, and operational plans. Manage staffing, scheduling, and training of production personnel to meet quality and shipping requirements. Oversee hiring and training of technical production employees to build a competent workforce. Set operational performance goals aligned with Profit Plan targets and monitor daily results. Collaborate with plant management to investigate operational issues, implement corrective actions, and pursue continuous improvement opportunities. Work with the Plant Controller to develop annual operating budgets, staffing requirements, and cost controls. Support plant safety and continuous improvement programs, integrating operations support into manufacturing processes. Required Experience Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a production environment, preferably automotive manufacturing. Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements. Proficiency with MS Office applications. Ability to analyze complex data and present findings verbally or in presentation format. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
