Responsibilities Coordinate with plant operators to safely and efficiently gather steel strip and fabricated metal samples directly from the manufacturing floor. Prepare metallurgical specimens with exact precision by sectioning, mounting, and polishing samples for evaluation. Conduct structured laboratory analyses and light optical microscopy to support claims investigations and routine quality checks. Maintain our laboratory equipment and ensure all tools are calibrated to the highest standards. Partner with our engineers and metallurgists to support new product development, continuous improvement projects, and production trials. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. A proven commitment to industrial or laboratory safety and the ability to work confidently in a manufacturing setting. A high degree of attention to detail and the discipline to follow precise, sequenced preparation procedures.
