About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Production to play a pivotal role in the transition from development to scaled production of next-generation autonomous ground vehicles. The successful candidate will be a senior, hands-on manufacturing leader with a strong background in ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and compliance in production operations. Key responsibilities include developing and enforcing rigorous quality control systems, championing a safety-first culture, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational requirements. The role also involves overseeing day-to-day production activities, leading the implementation of lean manufacturing and similar methodologies, and scaling production processes to meet growing vehicle volumes. Applicants for the Vice President of Production position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years' experience in manufacturing or production operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in autonomous systems, robotics, aerospace, or defense-related manufacturing is strongly preferred, as is a background in a startup or high-growth environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and scaling production lines for complex hardware systems, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. The role requires a leader who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and can drive structure in a rapidly evolving startup environment, with a focus on partnering with engineering, supply chain, and program leadership to bring cutting-edge autonomous platforms into reliable, repeatable production.
