This role maintains a strong client focus and partners closely with Sales and IT to deliver exceptional client experience while ensuring regulatory compliance. The position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and initiative. The Lead serves as the primary resource for mentorship, training, testing, and escalation of complex transactions.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Ensure client accounts are accurately established and maintained, and that check files are prepared and processed within established service level agreements.Research and resolve time sensitive or technically complex requests, providing guidance to the team to ensure accurate handling.Use reporting to identify improvement opportunities, monitor performance, and set clear expectations.Create, update, maintain, and train team members on servicing processes and procedures.Collaborate on projects and work with internal partners to develop new systems, enhance existing systems, or conduct testing.Serve as a subject matter expert on documentation, systems, processes, policies, compliance, and regulations related to deposit operations.Resolve problems with minimal guidance and make general operational escalation decisions.Oversee day to day management of team members and demonstrate advanced knowledge of deposit requirements and systems.Pursue ongoing education and complete required regulatory, compliance, and skills based training.WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience in the financial industry.7-10 years of experience in a Deposit Operations role.Strong knowledge of deposits, bank operations, products, services, and regulatory requirements.Ability to manage high volume, time sensitive work while staying organized.Flexibility and adaptability with a commitment to continuous improvement and a positive team environment.Strong leadership and decision making skills.High attention to accuracy and detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills.WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE:Competitive compensation including base salary, bonus and/or incentive opportunities.Comprehensive benefits package providing a wide range of health and well-being benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance; and 401(k) and ESOP for retirement savings.Generous paid time off programs such as flexible time off, company-paid holidays, parental and bereavement leave.Learning and development resources for personal and professional career development, and advancement opportunities.Access to financial experts for guidance, financial wellness tools, and discounts on Alerus products and services.Support for the communities we live in through paid volunteer time and a company donation match opportunity.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is typically performed in an office setting.
