You bring strong proficiency in Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, paired with a keen understanding of data processing and backend architecture. Your ability to work across the full technology stack allows you to deliver seamless, efficient, and user-centric applications that directly support regulatory and compliance efforts.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer who will play a pivotal role in supporting the NEP (National Exam Program) and its application used by SEC examiners. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing applications that process, analyze, and present critical financial and regulatory data.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading Innovative Projects: Spearhead the design and development of full-stack applications using Python and TypeScript/JavaScript , leveraging modern frameworks such as React to build intuitive user interfaces.


• Collaborative Solution Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that align with federal standards and mission objectives.


• Strategic Impact: Analyze emerging technologies and development practices to enhance application performance, scalability, and maintainability.


• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with program stakeholders and end users (including SEC examiners) to gather requirements and deliver impactful technical solutions.


• Mentorship and Leadership: Provide technical guidance to junior developers, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

By stepping into this role, you will directly contribute to the success of federal regulatory missions, supporting applications that enable oversight, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.

The Skills We're Looking For:

• Technical Expertise:




• Strong experience in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript


• Experience with React or similar front-end frameworks


• Proficiency in working with CSV, Excel , and other structured data formats


• Strong experience with SQL and database querying


• Experience with Git or similar version control tools


• Preferred: Experience with KDB+ or time-series databases


• Analytical Mindset: Ability to work with complex datasets and build efficient data processing solutions within applications.


• Leadership Abilities: Experience leading development efforts or mentoring team members in a collaborative environment.


• Effective Communication: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Commitment to Mission: Interest in supporting federal regulatory and compliance initiatives through innovative technology solutions.

The Expectations of the Job:

Day One:

• Orientation and Onboarding: Immerse yourself in Aretec's culture, tools, and development environment. Begin understanding the NEP program and its supporting applications.

Day Thirty:

• Active Contribution: Start contributing to development efforts, working with existing codebases and participating in team collaboration.


• Skill Application: Apply your expertise in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and data processing to support ongoing development tasks.

Day Sixty:

• Project Leadership: Take ownership of key features or components within the application.


• Strategic Planning: Contribute to discussions on improving system architecture, performance, and scalability.


• Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with internal teams and stakeholders to refine requirements and enhance application functionality.

Day Ninety:

• Full Ownership: Lead development efforts for critical features or modules within the NEP application.


• Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize data processing, improve UI/UX, and enhance system performance.


• Mentorship Role: Support and mentor junior developers, reinforcing best practices and collaborative development.
