Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Upstate New York

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, with preference for 36 hours per week; possible 4x10 or 3x12 shifts (7am - 5:30pm or 7am - 7:30pm) including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit.

Job Description: The Cath lab is an inpatient and outpatient procedural lab focused on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients in the Upstate New York region. The lab houses 4 Cath labs and 3 EP labs, providing care to adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of conditions. Our comprehensive program includes pre and post-procedural care in the holding area, with an emphasis on excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction achieved through collaboration between RN staff and CVTs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient vitals during procedures.
• Conduct and assist with a variety of cardiac interventions, including Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, PCI, CTO, and vascular interventions.
• Provide mechanical circulatory support including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVAD.
• Participate in structural heart procedures, including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, and more.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA.
• Moderate sedation training and dysrhythmia/telemetry competency.
• New York RN license required.
• Experience with TAVR, Microclip, Watchmen, and various cardiac interventions.
• Experience in mechanical circulatory support and structural heart procedures.
