Overview Manager in Training Team Lead – MIC PANERA CAFE TEAM LEAD – MANAGER IN CHARGE Join Panera to advance your career while fostering a culture of Warmth, Belonging, Growth, and Trust. As a team lead manager in charge, you will lead the day‑to‑day operations of a bakery‑cafe, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and strong team performance. Key Responsibilities Build and reinforce the Panera Guiding Values and Behaviors—including Warmth for guests, Bold thoughts and brave actions, Own it, Win together, Inspire and celebrate, and Rooted in respect. Ensure extraordinary guest experiences by delivering high‑quality food, service, and safety. Build engaging relationships that foster long‑term, loyal customers. Coach and motivate the team to exceed bakery‑cafe goals for sales, speed of service, order accuracy, and cafe health. Train staff on food safety standards and maintain compliance across all positions. Lead, manage, and develop associates—providing ongoing training, constructive feedback, and recognition of individual and team achievements. Qualifications Minimum of 90 days experience working in a Panera bakery‑cafe. Certified in all positions on either the Service track (Coffee, Barista, Bakery Backer, Dining Room, Cashier) or the Production track (Prep, Soups, Salads/Hot Entrees, Sandwiches, Consolidator). Must be at least 18 years of age. Complete the Certified Manager Program (CMP)*, including ServSafe certification (or ability to pass). Submit to a background check and meet all company requirements.
