AP/CP Pathologist

Full-Time Pathologist (AP/CP) – Partnership Track Company: Valley Pathologists, Inc. Location: Dayton, Ohio Area (Premier Health & CompuNet Clinical Laboratories) Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Valley Pathologists, Inc. is an evolving and well-established private practice group of 11 pathologists. As the exclusive providers for Premier Health (including a large Level 1 Trauma Center and regional hospitals) and CompuNet Clinical Laboratories, we offer an exceptionally stable and robust practice environment. Strong Support Staff: Grossing is fully handled by four well-trained Pathologist Assistants (PAs). Advanced Diagnostics: In-house FISH, PCR testing for solid tumors and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) for hematolymphoid tumors. Key Responsibilities You will join a highly collaborative team providing comprehensive diagnostic services across multiple regional facilities. Surgical & Cytopathology: Manage complex surgical cases, pap smears, non-gyns, and FNAs. Immediate Assessments: Perform frozen sections and quick assessments/immediate reads (CT/US-guided, navigational lung biopsies, EBUS, and EUS) in strong collaboration with our radiology and pulmonary team. Clinical Lab Leadership: Interpret peripheral blood smears, hemoglobin electrophoresis, SPEP, and UPEP. Medical directorships and site responsibilities. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Present cases at multispecialty tumor boards (Breast, Lung, Neuro, GI, GU, Head & Neck) and take active roles on hospital committees. Shared Call: Shared rotation covering frozen sections and general clinical laboratory duties. Job Requirements Education/Certification: Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP). Licensure: Hold or be eligible for an unrestricted Ohio medical license. Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
