We believe in creating an environment where every individual thrives, grows, and contributes meaningfully to our collective success.Contractor Service and Fabrication, Inc. is looking for an Electrical Estimator to prepare detailed estimates for the project based on the design documents, narratives, and specifications, focusing on the Electrical trade.Duties/Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:Performs routine duties independently, using sound judgment, thoroughness, and competence.Prepare quantity take-offs, analysis, estimates, and studies for all Electrical items incorporated in the scope from conceptual design through completed construction documents. Preliminary design work may be required to complete conceptual estimates.Analyze existing site conditions and all contract documents (plans, specifications, etc.) to determine the required scope that is not already indicated.Perform constructability analysis of project documents. Communicate design and constructability issues to the project team per the project contract.Prepare estimates and proposals for all contract types including lump sum, GMP, Cost Plus, etc.Participate in estimate reviews with the design team and client.Lead project hand-off to operations to ensure proper transfer of knowledge from preconstruction to operations.Prepare scope requisitions for the bidding/procurement of Electrical systems; coordinate with fellow estimators to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps.Lead the evaluation of vendor and subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work. Determine scope coverage and manage risk of scope gaps.Assist project staff in evaluating large change orders.Education and Experience:Proven experience in electrical contracting, with a focus on estimating for construction projects.High School Diploma or GED required.Related electrical field experience – journeyman-level experience is a plus.Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.A minimum of seven (7) years related Electrical estimating experience on projectsProven written and verbal communication abilities.Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.Language Skills:Ability to read and comprehend documents including but not limited to policy manuals, safety rules/programs, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and simple correspondence in English.
