This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc., while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. Position Summary Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full‑time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Austin, Texas area, specifically on CTRMA. Required Experience Drivers License required 0-2 years of construction labor experience (commercial, industrial, residential, roadway, heavy civil, warehouse, etc.) Preferred Experience Experience in guardrail installation and repair Roadway or tollway maintenance experience Concrete placement, repairs, and form work Operators of wheel loader, skidsteer, forklift, asphalt roller, etc. MOT certifications (traffic control) CDL A License a plus Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Maintain company standards for background checks (criminal record, driving record, drug testing) Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations Carry out simple arithmetic functions Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology Ability to use smartphone and applications Ability to adjust to changing work schedule Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required Ability to operate hand/power tools Schedule Full time; Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, with some night and weekend work if needed. Must be able to work during snow and ice events. Will be placed on on‑call schedule. Compensation Day shift starting rate of $18.50/hr with no prior highway maintenance experience. Guardrail experience starting rate of $19.50/hr. Night shift starting rate of $19.50/hr. CDL Drivers rate of $26.00+/hr Total Compensation Package FREE PPE!
