Job Summary

The Class B CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering plumbing products to customer locations using a 26-foot automatic flatbed truck with side rails. This role includes loading and unloading materials, completing required delivery documentation, performing vehicle inspections, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Drivers will also assist with warehouse operations as needed and provide professional customer service throughout the delivery process. This is a short-term contract opportunity with the potential for extension based on business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-foot automatic flatbed truck with side rails to deliver plumbing products to customer locations.
• Load and unload delivery materials, assisting warehouse personnel as needed.
• Verify delivery routes and ensure timely completion of scheduled deliveries.
• Secure loads to ensure safe transportation and compliance with weight limits.
• Deliver materials with the appropriate documentation and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
• Pick up customer returns and verify returned materials against authorized documentation.
• Pick up local purchase orders and return all required packing lists and delivery paperwork.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Fuel vehicles as needed and promptly report accidents, violations, mechanical issues, or vehicle defects.
• Maintain communication with supervisors throughout the workday regarding delivery status.
• Assist with warehouse operations approximately 10-15% of the workday, including loading materials.
• Represent the company professionally while providing excellent customer service.
• Comply with all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and uniform requirements.
• Support additional operational duties and overtime as required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Class B CDL driving experience.
• Must have held a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License for at least 1 year.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Required state-issued non-excepted interstate self-certification with proof.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Comfortable with in-vehicle video monitoring while operating company vehicles.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating Class B commercial vehicles.
• Delivery driving experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
