Registered Nurse - ICU Float Pool

Location: Portland, Maine

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with 48 guaranteed hours per week and 75% weekends required.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our ICU Float Pool. The RN will have the opportunity to float between various ICU units, including Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and CTICU. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to basic ICU patients, including those who are sedated, intubated, and on pressors.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care.
• Demonstrate flexibility with assignments, potentially taking on multiple assignments within a single shift.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU settings, with consideration for 1:3 in IMC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience is required.
• Active RN license.
