Its businesses produce the raw materials that are essential in the manufacture of a wide variety of goods: from paints to plastics, textiles to technology, and medicines to mobile phones - chemicals manufactured by INEOS enhance almost every aspect of modern life./ppBUSINESS CONTEXT:/ppEthylene oxide (EO) is an important building block for the preparation of a wide variety of EO derivatives (EODs), including various surfactants, as well as a host of other chemical intermediates including Glycol Ethers, Polyethlene Glycols, Ethanolamines, and Alkyl Alkanolamines./ppINEOS Oxide is one of the worlds leading producers of Ethylene Oxide (EO) and Ethylene Oxide Derivatives (EODs). We currently have a total EO and EOD capacity of 920 kta spread across five different production units throughout Europe and the US. These units have leading cost economics, due to economies of scale, state-of-the-art technology, strategic locations, etc. Our EO project in the US is targeting the fast-growing merchant EO market, building on our experience and leadership position in Europe./ppPurpose of the Job:/ppThe IE Technician, troubleshoots, and maintains operating units to drive process and product improvements. During a typical day they will Maintenance equipment, PM and troubleshoot equipment./ppThe candidate is responsible for safe and efficient operation of assigned production units using established operating discipline and procedures. The IE Technician is responsible for maintaining the plant assets and protective systems integrity and to deliver established production targets set by the business./ph3Responsibilities and Accountabilities/h3pAccountability 1:/ppSHE/pulliVisibly supports and promotes the INEOS 20 Principles and the Culture of Prevention./liliAll activities performed in accordance with established company, local, state, federal, and health safety, and environmental regulations and procedures./liliEnsure all maintenance activities are planned and executed in accordance with site environmental requirements./liliIdentify Safety improvements on all pre-existing processes./liliProvides safe work permits to contractors working on or around equipment in the plant and maintenance buildings/liliVerifies clear understanding of work scope, carefully reviews the type of work and potential safety or process reliability hazards./liliTakes appropriate action to initiate proper safety reviews (e.g., temporary job plan, confined space, hot work, etc.) when reviewing the work scope./liliIs aware of and responds to emergency protocols during shutdowns and startups./li/ulpAccountability 2:/ppMANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE/pulliMonitor overall program compliance for integrity programs for the asset and coordinate craftsman as required to support these programs and ensure completion prior to due date./liliSupports maintenance of asset condition per INEOS Asset Care guidelines./liliResponsible for coordinating with Asset Work Execution Supervisors on larger, more complex jobs including review of work scope with Operations, Execution Forces, Planner/Schedulers to verify clear understanding and development of timelines as needed./liliTrouble shoots failed/underperforming equipment to identify and/or eliminate root cause./liliServe as elevated technical resource in maintenance repair techniques for the asset./li/ululliIs accountable for PM compliance by craft, schedule compliance, backlog management by crafts for asset. Provides support to engineering project teams that install, modify, or will affect IE A equipment in the plant./liliFollows the progress of the projects ensuring that the IE A is installed correctly with all parameters being properly set for the desired operation/li/ulh3Skills/Competencies/h3pLevel of Education Experience in general/pulliHigh School Diploma/GED required/liliAt least 5 years of maintenance-related experience in a plant Electrical and Instrumentation designation and NCCER Electrical and Instrumentation Certification/li/ulpTechnical Skills/pulliSAP experience in areas of Plant Maintenance/liliAbility to utilize Microsoft Office Suite tools/liliAbility to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the process and personal safety and health practices applicable in the petrochemical industry. This includes energy isolation, lockout tagout, work permitting, confined space entry, working from heights, hazard communication, lifting and hoisting, incident reporting and investigation, and MOC./liliWorking knowledge of instrument, electrical, and analyzer standards as applied in petrochemical industry and general knowledge of various Codes (e.g. API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, ISA)./liliWorking knowledge of technical documentation associated with instrument, electrical, and analyzer design and equipment,/liliDemonstrated capabilities to assess work sequencing, optimize work planning, scheduling, and cost is a plus./liliKnowledge and experience in executing preventive maintenance plans./liliAbility to read PIDs./liliInstrumentation Experience:/liulliKnowledge of and experience with instrumentation installation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting along with the ability to read and understand PIDs, schematics and loop drawings. Experience using HART communicator and documenting calibrator to verify settings of instruments in the field./liliKnowledge of and experience with PLCs (especially Allen-Bradley), ladder logic, control valves, HART field devices, Emerson Delta V BPCS/SIS or related DCS platforms. Familiar with the maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)./liliKnowledge of instrumentation relating to temperature, pressure, mass flow and level. Includes DP, Coriolis, Vortex, Ultrasonic, Nuclear, Radar and Magnetic instrumentation, along with associated equipment such as control valves./li/ulliElectrical Experience:/liulliKnowledge of and experience of troubleshooting equipment with voltages up to 12.47kV./liliTrouble-shooting skills along with the ability to read and understand PID, Relay Drawings, Electrical One-Lines and Loop Drawings./liliKnowledge of testing and maintenance of VFDs, transformers, large electric motors, UPS systems, low and medium voltage switchgear, and low and medium voltage motor control centers./li/ul/ulpBehavioral Skills/pulliAbility to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the process and personal safety and health practices applicable in the petrochemical industry.
