You will represent the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects and other project team members.Additional responsibilities:Participates in various trade organizations and prepare presentations.Manages CAD/BIM and other technical staff that is assigned for particular project or task as directed by the senior engineer and/or senior designer.Assists with employee reviews as requested.Estimates construction costs and evaluate feasibility of construction using ROM.Writes engineering proposals under the direction of a senior engineer or senior designer for projects.Job Requirements:This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer/Designer III - IV with experience with one of the following markets or a combination of Commercial, Institutional, Healthcare, Aviation as well as experience in Large Infrastructure Design. In addition to your engineering experience, to succeed in this role, you will need a solid knowledge of systems design for various projects with the ability to communicate design concepts via sketches and renderings.Additional requirements:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; exceptional candidates may substitute with significant years of experienceMinimum of 3.5+ - 7+ years of relevant experience in the Mechanical Design fieldExperience with latest version of AutoCAD-MEP, and REVITA working knowledge of the various applications of fire suppression systems gained through both formal training and project experienceKnowledge of Mechanical / Plumbing trades, building codes, and drawings / documentsDetailed knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers and the ability to make proper selections independentlyAbility to independently perform fire suppression hydraulic calculations to support design and estimate construction costs and evaluate feasibility of constructionEIT certification required, PE preferred- for Engineers.Benefits:As a Mechanical Engineer/Designer with Syska Hennessy Group, you will be part of a global firm with an amazing history!
