Emergency Room Nurse

Job Summary Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with the department’s needs and the applicable state and specialty scope of practice. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients, families, and caregivers and aligns with the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers. Document administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs to resolve them proactively. Teach patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures. Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Educate patients/families on non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes. Prepare patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 60 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (RN) obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
