Director of Financial Planning

Director of Financial Planning Spinnaker Investment Group, LLC | Newport Beach, CA Spinnaker Investment Group, LLC is seeking a Director of Financial Planning to join our Newport Beach office. This individual will play an integral role in delivering comprehensive financial planning services to our clients sophisticated individuals and families by partnering closely with our Wealth Advisors. What You’ll Do Develop, build, and maintain comprehensive financial plans tailored to clients' goals, including retirement, tax, estate, and cash flow planning Analyze client financial documents (tax returns, estate documents, investment statements, insurance policies, etc.) to identify planning opportunities and risks Manage and maintain accurate client financial data within planning software and CRM systems Partner with Wealth Advisors to prepare for client meetings, including modeling scenarios and presenting planning recommendations Stay current on tax law, estate planning strategies, and regulatory changes that may impact client plans Collaborate with clients' outside professionals (CPAs, attorneys) as needed to ensure cohesive planning Help refine and scale internal financial planning processes and best practices What We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Communications or related field CFP® designation required (or actively pursuing, with completion expected within 12 months) 5+ years of experience in financial planning, ideally within a wealth management or RIA environment Proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, or Wealth.com) Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail in document review and data management Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex planning concepts for clients Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive client information #J-18808-Ljbffr Spinnaker Investment Group, LLC
