This position is responsible for managing the Maintenance/Facilities department by performing the following duties.

Manages the department’s resources to budget including inventory control, price changes, etc.

Ensures a safe working environment and compliance with all regulatory standards (i.e., OSHA, BOLI, etc.).

Interacts with all groups outside the department to overcome daily production issues.

Maintains a proactive Preventative Maintenance system to ensure 99% production uptime.

Coordinates all out-of-house activities including machine service, contracting, etc.

Maintains, or coordinates maintenance, to all facility utilities, structure, and regulatory needs.

Maintains records/process for MTBF, MTTR, and machine availability with reaction plans for an out-of-spec condition.

Drives continuous Improvement through emerging technologies (equipment, process improvement, etc.).

Utilizes systems and tools necessary to support, display, and report business metrics.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education & Experience

A high school diploma or GED is required for this role. In addition to the education requirement, this position requires a minimum of three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be used to satisfy these requirements.

Must be able to quickly traverse manufacturing areas.

Ability to move around the warehouse.

Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.

Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing 75 pounds.

Must be able to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, and squat in order to perform tasks and maintain equipment.

Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 75 pounds.

Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.

Manual handling of tools for assembly or production.

Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals.
