Overview X-Ray Tech- Lockport-Float Position Highlights Full Time: 40 Hours/Week Hours: Varied; 7:00am to 9:00pm. Weekends, Holidays, and travel as needed. Responsibilities Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician. Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation. Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff. Obtains patient’s pertinent history. Maintains crash cart. Maintains and stocks inventory. Ensures OSHA regulations are followed. Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective. Team player, follows work rules, accepts constructive criticism. Reports to lead technologist for work assignments. Assists with film quality control and will work evening and holidays with responsibility for the operation of the department. Assists and relieves manager expediting patient workflow through the department. Qualifications Education Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six month to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be AART registered or eligible also IDNS licensed. CPR certification. Years of Experience 6 months - 2 years related experience. The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $28.84-$38.90, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
