Job Summary

The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the healthcare framework, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. This role emphasizes ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN ensures safety in their practice, incorporates evidence-based principles, and acknowledges their own knowledge and experience levels. They are accountable for enhancing their own and their team's understanding of patient care through effective communication and resource utilization. Additionally, the RN is responsible for reporting safety concerns, understanding the patient demographics, supervising task delegation, and collaborating with other healthcare providers. They prioritize and evaluate interventions aimed at measurable improvements, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to individual patient needs.

We are looking for a committed Registered Nurse to join our team at Monmouth Medical Center.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficient in computer skills

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
• Valid New Jersey State Driver’s License

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Clinical experience from an NLN accredited program
• Eligibility for Screening Certification
• National Certification

Scheduling Requirements

• Night Shift, 36 hours per week

Essential Functions

• The RN ensures safety in practice and applies evidence-based principles while being aware of their own knowledge and experience, taking responsibility for their own and their team's learning.
• Responsible for reporting safety issues, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Knowledgeable about the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs task delegation among team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities through effective interventions aimed at measurable improvements.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate care provision and customize care plans to meet specific patient needs.
