Physical Therapist

Permanent position

Location: Regional Therapy Center at Washington Street

Shift: Days (40 hours)

Pay: Will vary based on experience

Min Qualifications:

• Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelors or Masters)
• Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State as a physical therapist
• Outpatient experience preferred
• Experience or interest in lymphedema, pelvic therapy, or vestibular rehab is a plus

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate effective and appropriate written and oral communication skills in the English language
• Exchange ideas, information and opinions with others to formulate interdisciplinary plans of care and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions or solutions
• Read and understand scientific and technical journals and abstracts in the rehabilitation and related fields
• Effectively write technical/professional documentation and correspondence
• Apply the principles of algebra and statistical analysis to financial and statistical information
• Use body members, tools or special devices to work, move, guide or place objects, people or materials when providing patient/resident evaluation and treatment
• Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, mathematical or diagrammatic form
• Deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Demonstrate an understanding of human development in order to effectively evaluate and treat patients of all ages for diagnoses the individual is competent to evaluate and treat
