Surgical Technologist – Pediatric Operating Room

Location: Syracuse, NY
Specialty: Pediatric Operating Room
Shift: Day Shift (Mixed Schedule)
Shift Times:

• 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM
• 11:00 AM – 07:30 PM
• 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a Pediatric Operating Room assignment in a high-acuity trauma and teaching hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive scrub experience across multiple surgical specialties and be comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric surgical setting.

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environments
• Scrub and assist during pediatric surgical procedures
• Prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon and surgical team needs during procedures
• Maintain strict sterile technique and infection prevention standards
• Support patient safety throughout surgical procedures
• Assist with trauma, orthopedic, neurosurgery, ENT, and general surgery cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary surgical teams
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of surgical instruments and supplies

• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room experience within the last 4 years
• Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center and/or Teaching Hospital
• Strong scrub experience required
• Pediatric OR experience preferred
• Experience in the following specialties:
  • Trauma
  • Orthopedics
  • Neurosurgery
  • General Surgery
  • ENT
  • Vascular
  • GU
  • GYN
  • Bariatric Surgery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function independently with minimal orientation
• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
• No suspended or investigated professional licenses/certifications
