Minova is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Lead to join our newest, largest, and most advanced manufacturing facility in Tooele, Utah . This role is a key leadership position responsible for building structure, driving reliability, and setting the standard for maintenance excellence in a growing operation. This is a true player‑coach role. We are looking for someone who can lead a team while working side‑by‑side with technicians, establishing preventive maintenance systems, managing spare parts, and ensuring equipment uptime in a fast‑paced industrial environment. Position Summary The Maintenance Lead provides leadership to the maintenance team while delivering preventative maintenance, repair, reliability, and technical support to plant operations and equipment. This role supports the manufacturing of steel roof bolts, plates, bonding resins, and powdered chemicals, with a strong focus on Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) , quality, and operational efficiency. Schedule & Compensation Pay: $35–$40/hour (hourly, overtime eligible) Schedule: To be Determined No relocation assistance offered Key Responsibilities Leadership & Maintenance Execution Lead and supervise the onsite maintenance team (first‑level management responsibility) Work hands‑on alongside technicians performing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and welding tasks Establish, implement, and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs from the ground up Develop and manage spare parts and critical spare parts inventory Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment using ladder logic and PLC diagnostics Support Allen‑Bradley and Siemens control systems Train new hires and support ongoing technical development Equipment & Technical Scope Conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment Electrical systems, compressors, cranes (up to 30‑ton), testing equipment TIG welding and general fabrication Forklift and boom lift operation (required) Take ownership of team safety practices and enforce all safety protocols Lead by example to create and sustain a positive safety culture Participate in monthly SH&E meetings Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, JSA programs Promptly report unsafe conditions and incidents Conduct regular inspections and site audits to ensure equipment and plant safety Commercial Ownership & Operational Efficiency Investigate cost‑effective solutions to plant and machine issues Coordinate PMs and repairs with Operations to minimize downtime and overtime Maintain budgetary compliance (required) Support asset utilization, lifecycle management, and reliability initiatives Travel occasionally to support projects or sister plants, as needed Operational Excellence Follow, implement, and sustain 5S principles Partner with management to develop and execute maintenance schedules Maintain equipment condition through regular inspections and audits Willingness to work overtime, rotating hours, holidays, weekends, or alternative shifts when required Demonstrated desire for continuous technical learning and performance improvement People, Quality & Communication Lead and hold the maintenance team accountable for quality workmanship Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure equipment availability Maintain attendance above minimum handbook standards due to the critical nature of the role Accept coaching and performance feedback professionally Identify personal training needs and actively pursue development Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) and error‑proofing (Poka‑Yoke) initiatives Complete documentation accurately, legibly, and on time Serve as a visible example to the hourly workforce Focus on safe operation, asset care, and effective execution Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Maintain a professional appearance and task‑oriented mindset Proven experience setting up PM programs Spare parts and critical parts management experience Ladder logic troubleshooting and diagnostics Allen‑Bradley and Siemens PLC systems TIG welding experience Ability to lead while remaining hands‑on Customer Focus Team Commitment Results and efficiency‑driven mindset Willingness to lead small‑to‑medium‑sized projects Minova and Malone are equal opportunity employers. #J-18808-Ljbffr Minova
