About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 4x10 hours (0645-1715) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Broad experience in various surgical cases; preferred experience in travel assignments. Description: Join our surgical services team in the operating room. You will be part of a department with 17 surgical suites, averaging 65 cases per day. Experience in pediatric and adult cases is essential. Common procedures include general, DaVinci, neuro-spine, orthopedic, urology, oncology, ENT, GYN, and bariatric surgeries. You will not be required to scrub. A Charge Nurse will be present on each shift. OR techs will assist during procedures. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC. Call requirements include typical 4-hour coverage after a scheduled shift, with possible overnight shifts if needed. Weekend and holiday shifts will be scheduled, with volunteers given priority. The response time for call should be within 30 minutes. Floating to nearby centers may occur based on need, primarily for experienced staff. Scrubs are provided, and the dress code is grey. Orientation will consist of general and unit-specific training. This position adheres to a radius rule for applicants.
