Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).

Contracts available for 4x12 shifts; facility currently has 4 ED night openings.

Requirements

• 5 years of current Emergency Department experience preferred.
• New York Nursing License required.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, NIH.
• Minimal Ready To Offer (RTO): 7 days or less.
• Experience with EPIC charting.
• Knowledge of Omnicell medication system.
• Telemetry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Assess and triage patients effectively to determine their healthcare needs.
• Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring; must pass a hospital-proctored rhythm identification test with accuracy standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide quality patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine is required by 11/1. If a medical or religious exemption is applicable, approval must be secured two weeks prior to start date. Must be willing to float to other areas as needed based on skillset.
