JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-MD- Profession: Physician Specialty: Anesthesiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Hanover, PA Service Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Nov 30, 2026 Mar 01, 2027 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 7a 3:30p Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: All ages (neonates, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics) Case Mix: Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Plastics, GYN (outpatient) FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Anesthesia for outpatient surgical cases (General, Orthopedics, ENT, Plastics, Urology, GYN) Regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks (Orthopedic) Airway management for adult and pediatric patients Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) and General Anesthesia JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active PA license or Universal License (IMLC) Board: Board Certified in Anesthesiology (will not accept Board Eligible) DEA: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Experience: 2+ years preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Administer anesthesia for a diverse range of outpatient surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Perform regional anesthesia techniques, including orthopedic blocks, for post-operative pain management. Provide medical direction and clinical supervision to CRNAs in the operating room. Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia care plans. Manage post-anesthesia recovery and address any acute complications or emergencies.
