Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students in a dedicated Kindergarten Self-Contained Autism program. This full-time assignment offers a chance to make a genuine impact in a vibrant educational environment located near Scottsdale, AZ. As a Special Education Teacher, you will foster growth, inclusion, and meaningful learning for young students diagnosed with autism.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Educator Certification and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP FP Card)
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with autism, preferably within a self-contained classroom setting
- Confidence in creating and implementing compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Proficiency in using visual supports and structured classroom systems
- Strong background in positive behavior management strategies
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Develop, document, and update IEPs in compliance with state guidelines
- Utilize evidence-based interventions, visual supports, and behavioral strategies
- Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting plans as needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Coordinate with support staff, therapists, and family members to enhance student outcomes
This opportunity runs from ASAP through late May 2027 (subject to adjustment), allowing you to develop lasting connections with your students and collaborate with a team committed to excellence in special education.
