Overview
Registered Nurse, Med Surg Tele, Burlington, Vermont, United States. Travel assignment starting 08/27/2026 for 5 weeks in a hospital setting focusing on neurosurgical and general surgical telemetry care. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Weekly pay: $2,093–$2,285. No guaranteed hours. This role requires current RN licensure and expertise in a large teaching facility environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a neurosurgical and medical-surgical telemetry unit, including post-operative and medically complex patients
- Perform comprehensive neuro assessments and NIHSS monitoring; promptly escalate changes in patient status
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, wounds, drains, and other patient needs per protocol
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in rounds and care planning; document accurately in Epic
- Monitor safety, assist with patient mobility and activities of daily living, and support discharge planning and patient/family education
- Ensure accurate handoffs, charting, and adherence to unit policies and infection control practices

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing (state-specific or eligible for assignment)
- Minimum 2 years of unit-based nursing experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (NIHSS must be completed prior to start)
- Epic experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN degree required)
- Ability to work in an inpatient Med Surg Tele/neurosurgical unit; 12-hour day shifts; reliable transportation
