Responsibilities:

• Performs direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice and under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Follows Plan of Care as established by the Physical Therapist and reports any status changes promptly.
• Ensures quality and continuity of patient care through high professional standards.
• Instructs patients and/or their families in safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.
• Incorporates patient care goals into therapy sessions and home programs.
• Adheres to the State Practice Act Guidelines and Elara Caring policies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred.
• Must have a dependable vehicle, valid drivers license, and current auto insurance.
• Able and willing to travel within branch coverage area (up to 50%).
• Able to lift 50100 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
