Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a well-established engineering and construction management firm in Honolulu.
This position will be part of the Construction Management team, representing clients throughout the construction process and helping ensure projects are completed in accordance with plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and contract requirements.
Candidates must currently reside in Hawaii. Relocation candidates will not be considered at this time.
Responsibilities:
- Provide construction management and owner’s representative services on behalf of clients
- Monitor construction progress, schedules, budgets, quality, and contract compliance
- Coordinate with owners, contractors, engineers, consultants, government agencies, and other project stakeholders
- Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and other construction documentation
- Monitor contractor performance and identify potential schedule, cost, or quality issues
- Attend construction meetings and provide regular project updates and reporting
- Review construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Assist with resolving construction issues, changes, and claims
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Support inspections, punch lists, project closeout, and final documentation
Qualifications:
- Must currently reside in Hawaii
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in construction management, project management, construction administration, or owner’s representative work
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and budgets
- Experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with owners, contractors, consultants, engineers, and public agencies
- Experience with public-sector, infrastructure, civil, or commercial construction projects is a plus
