We want you to view your time at Westfall as an investment to your future.Summary Of RoleThe Automation Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and overhaul work on electronic/electromechanical equipment. Position will read and interpret electronic schematics and identify components to manage and assemble projects.Professional AttributesMust be highly mechanically inclined and have a strong ability to use basic hand toolsMust understand low and high voltage wiringMust be capable of reading electrical printsMust have knowledge of vision systems. Cognex and Keyence a plusMill and lathe experience a plusPerform EOAT changeovers for production when directedPerform preventive automation maintenance as per instruction and assigned intervalsInspect equipment for defects and plan for solutions to prevent downtimeGeneral housekeeping around the shop and maintain safe work environmentMaintain cleanliness, safety and functionality of components, tools and equipmentMaintain electronic/electromechanical equipment to ensure it is in optimal running conditionWork independent with strong technical knowledge leading team for proactive planning and maintenanceEffective communication skills both verbally and writtenResponsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety proceduresOther responsibilities as assignedDesired Skills And ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalency requiredTechnical degree or certificate a plusStrong knowledge of plastic processing and troubleshootingBasic math skills.
