Banquet Set Up The Osthoff Resort & Spa is looking for dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our Banquet Set Up team! The Banquet Set Up team is responsible for accurate setup and teardown of all meeting and catered functions at the resort, ensuring that all required items are in place prior to each function. In addition, they are responsible for the cleaning and preparation of meeting rooms and pre-function areas, ensuring our facilities meet the expectations of a AAA 4-Diamond resort. We have both full-time and part-time positions available. Applicants should be available to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Applicants should be comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Earn $25-$40+ dollars an hour! Pay is a base hourly wage plus banquet gratuities. Duties and Responsibilities: Set up banquet spaces according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide customer service per contract Arrange tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, linens and other event equipment Assist with room resets and changes throughout events Follow proper safety procedures when lifting/moving furniture and when using equipment Assist in maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning Maintain banquet facility cleanliness by cleaning and vacuuming carpets Assist banquet staff with special event needs and last-minute requests Communicate with banquet and event team members to ensure events run smoothly Organize and restock linens and supplies, attending mandatory department meetings and trainings Provide friendly, professional service when interacting with guests Promote the Osthoff Resort's service principle by example--respond to/resolve guest inquiries, complaints or concerns in a courteous, timely and efficient manner Inform Team Leader of any issues Maintain a harmonious work environment Maintains service presentation, sanitation, and organization of work area All other duties as assigned Qualifications: At least 16 years of age Must possess a positive attitude as a contributor to a diverse work environment Must be able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours each day Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach forward and over the shoulder, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and push 100+ pounds Evening, holiday, and weekend availability is required Must be capable of lifting and transporting all furniture and equipment necessary for the setting up and tearing down of banquet functions.
