Accounting Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking an Accounting Specialist for a contract/temporary opportunity in Manati, PR. This role supports financial operations, reconciliations, reporting, month‑end close, and process improvement activities within a manufacturing environment. The Accounting Specialist will work closely with Finance, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations teams to ensure financial data is accurate, compliant, and aligned with internal procedures. This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys detailed analysis, cross‑functional collaboration, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Perform accounting activities across assigned areas such as freight, inventory, taxes, SURI, metals, and cost of manufacturing. Execute month‑end close tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting documentation. Investigate discrepancies between SAP and other platforms, identify root causes, and recommend corrective entries. Analyze and present cost of manufacturing data to cross‑functional stakeholders. Support internal and external audits by preparing accurate documentation and responding to accounting‑related requests. Maintain desk procedures and process documentation to support compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement. Compensation and Benefits Pay rate: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Job type: Contract/Temporary. Location: Manati, PR. For temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, major medical, dental, vision, 401k and statutory sick pay are offered where required.
