MATERIAL HANDLER & DRIVER

Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

The Material Handler & Driver is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through material handling, forklift operation, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and transportation activities. This position requires safely operating forklifts and company vehicles while maintaining accurate documentation, supporting inventory processes, and ensuring efficient movement of materials throughout the facility.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years of forklift operating experience.
• Current Forklift Certification required.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with at least two years of driving experience.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain transfer and production operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Verify all incoming and outgoing material loads for accuracy.
• Assist Inventory Control personnel with inventory counts and material verification.
• Complete loading and unloading documentation accurately and timely.
• Rack and store materials according to established procedures.
• Communicate material, rack, equipment, or transportation issues to supervisors.
• Support inbound and outbound material processing activities.
• Assemble customer shipments and prepare products for delivery and transportation.
• Move materials from receiving and storage areas to shipping and production locations.
• Prepare products for shipment according to customer specifications.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow all forklift safety procedures, including mandatory seatbelt usage.
• Assist with general labor duties when operational needs require.
• Schedule and coordinate truck transportation activities.
• Operate company vehicles to transport and pick up materials and donated items.
• Load and unload materials at warehouse and facility locations.
• Complete vehicle inspection logs and required transportation documentation.
• Inspect trucks prior to operation, including tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and safety equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns and service requirements to management.
• Perform minor emergency roadside repairs when necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of 6–8 hours or more.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work in a high-noise warehouse environment.
• Strong visual abilities including close vision, depth perception, color recognition, and focus.
• Ability to safely perform warehouse and driving duties throughout the workday.
