Investigations Analyst

Job Description and Duties

Under supervision of the Supervising Management Auditor (Chief Internal Auditor), the Analyst I performs professional analytical work in support of the Department of Industrial Relations' Internal Investigations Program. The incumbent assists in conducting administrative investigations involving allegations of workplace violence, bullying, fraud, waste, abuse, employee misconduct, and other policy violations. The incumbent also assists with researching applicable laws and policies, preparing investigative reports, developing investigative procedures, and supporting program initiatives to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and departmental policies.

The Analyst I must demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff at all levels both within and outside of DIR to complete work assignments. The Analyst I will utilize the Internet, email, desktop applications and presentation software to complete assignments.

The Analyst I must handle sensitive and confidential materials and matters in a professional manner and establish cooperative working relationships with others.

Working Conditions

The position is located at: 2180 Harvard St Suite 175, Sacramento, CA 95815.

• This position is eligible for Telework.
• The Analyst I may be required to travel occasionally (5%) for in person meetings and trainings.
