Title: Building engineer
Pay Rate: $20-22/HR on W2
Hours: M-F 7:30am - 4pm, on call 1 week per month
- 2 hours OT per week that they are on call, if they are called in, they are paid 4 hrs minimum, after 4 hours, it is paid out per hour.
- OT as needed
Location: 1650 Marion-Agosta Rd, Marion OH 43301

Overview of Work Environment/Client Nuances:
Whirlpool manufacturing facility
- Safety equipment is provided
- If candidate uses prescription safety glasses, they will want to bring those onsite.
- All tools are provided

Team Overview:
Candidate will be working independently and as a team, also working alongside vendors

Resource's typical working day:
Lots of walking and going up and down stairs
Hand tools
Using hand tools
Using lifts
HVAC assistance with vendors
Light electric
- 480 volts or less
Light plumbing

Licenses/Certifications: None required, but any applicable license is preferred

Nice to have skills: Manufacturing facility experience

Years of Experience: 2-3 years

Education h.s. diploma or GED

About the Role:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do:
•Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
•Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
•Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
•Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
•Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
•Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
•Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
•Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
•Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Need:
•High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
•Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
•Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
•Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
•Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
