Modeling & Simulation Liaison

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related technical field, with at least 4 years of software development experience focused on simulation or game-based environments
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or Java
• Experience with simulation platforms or engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software development workflows
• Current, active TS/SCI security clearance
• Ability and willingness to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time and occasionally move around the office to access equipment and files
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information with coworkers, management, and customers, including when delivering presentations
• Preferred: Understanding of modeling and simulation principles in military or operational contexts
• Preferred: Familiarity with mission engineering methodology and military systems
• Preferred: Knowledge of 3D graphics, physics engines, and database management systems such as SQL
• Preferred: Experience applying Agile or Scrum methodologies to simulation projects
• Preferred: Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Design, develop, and maintain simulation models and environments using various programming languages, tools, and data sources
• Integrate simulations into broader system architectures and support Marine Corps mission engineering efforts for interoperability testing
• Work with engineers, analysts, and operational subject matter experts to improve model fidelity and simulation accuracy
• Implement features, test and validate models, and troubleshoot issues across evolving simulation platforms
• Lead and support simulation project planning, coordination, and documentation, including data collection, stakeholder alignment, and capability tracking
• Serve as a liaison between the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) and the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) for modeling and simulation and mission engineering efforts
