Description: A Buyer is responsible for supporting brand initiatives, balancing the open to buy, and achieving all aspects of assigned financial targets. Key fundamental skill sets for this role will be: Work cross‑functionally to develop and implement business strategies necessary to meet or exceed financial goals for assigned category and total company Partner with Product Development and Planning teams to assort product appropriate for business needs Determine store distribution and selection of product mix in conjunction with Product Development, Planning, and Visual teams. Responsible for allocating merchandise to stores Determine initial price points and plan pre‑seasonal promotions Clear knowledge of target customer and competitive market Responsible for catalog content, proofing, and collaborating with the marketing team as needed Create, maintain, and report all product sales data for evaluation purposes as required by the Divisional Merchandise Manager and General Merchandise Manager. Partner with Planning to reorder and track merchandise in order to maintain adequate inventory levels while balancing the open‑to‑buy Promptly respond to store personnel questions, comments, and requests Collaborate with Store and Visual Managers to evaluate and maximize individual store sales based on product performance and mix, demographic, and target customer Other duties as may be determined by management to perform the necessary functions of the position on an as‑needed basis Ability to identify, develop and retain talent Success Factors: Focus energies on activities that have the greatest impact Set and track progress on clear, measurable objectives and milestones Seek tools and data to better understand and serve their customer and business partners Keep in mind the different demands of customers and the company when developing strategy and making decisions. Considerations include but are not limited to: price, quality, aesthetic, and end use Requirements: 5+ years of Buying/Merchant experience College Degree (2 or 4 Years) in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or Design Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn and retain new computer systems in a timely manner Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to think strategically with strong decision‑making skills Ability to multitask effectively and to perform in a high‑energy environment Arhaus is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
