Key Responsibilities

Set-up station properly and on time for each service period.

Make sure all food is prepared by recipes designated by the supervisor.

Make sure food quality and quantity is correct.

Make sure food is sent to the correct area on time.

Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner according to recipes/menu.

After service turn off clean preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.

Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.

Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.

Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.

Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.

Estimate expected food consumption, requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage.

Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs.

Keep records and accounts.

Understands the impact of kitchen operation on the overall property financial goals and objectives.

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals.

Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the manager.

Qualifications

Hospitality oriented.

Must be able to bend, squat and stretch, stand for 2-3 hours at a time, lift weighing up to 50 pounds.

Able to handle difficult situations effectively.

Should work well under pressure, even with minimal supervision.

Technical culinary knowledge.

Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensures employees do the same within the team.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must possess good communication skills in Spanish and English.
